Our Group Fitness department is one of the most dynamic areas in the club!
Our staff of professionals is dedicated to providing simple, fun, and effective workout experiences to members of all ages and fitness levels. Everyone is successful in Group Fitness - new exercisers, men, women, time-pressed exercisers, cross trainers and serious weight trainers.
Group Power is one of our most popular programs. Simply put, it is your hour of power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating, group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. Cardio Fitness Your Certified Personal Trainer will teach you everything you need to know about using each type of cardiovascular training equipment on our floor. Cross-training is a must for safety and an effective program. Learn how to incorporate each of these pieces into your personal plan to improve the function of your heart and lungs, burn calories and lose excess body fat. |

The aquatics program at WHR Fitness is enjoyed by many. With an average water temperature of 86 degrees, the water is inviting, soothing and comfortable to most everyone. We have several classes each week that are offered at a variety of convenient times. These classes provide an excellent workout to all levels of fitness. Our pool is open the hours of the facility and is able to be used by members for free swim at any time except during classes (see Group Fitness schedule). Private, semi-private, and small group Swim lessons are available by appointment. Information

There are four free weight rooms in total and while each has a distinctive purpose, the layout encourages effective use of all the equipment. Members combine free weights with the plate loaded and cable equipment to balance their workouts and remain challenged. Progression is never a problem. This is a weight lifter's playground! |

This area is on the lower level of our facility. Nautilus equipment, treadmills, bikes & crosstrainers are all together for a challenging circuit routine or you can pick and choose the pieces you want to use. Becky LaRose, WHR’s Licensed Massage Therapist is located here, too.

This is how WHR Fitness got its start in 1980. Racquetball is still popular at WHR and with three active courts, there is ample playing time. Equally as popular, is our half-court basketball court that is available during most club hours. Court sports are a great way to break up your workout routine and have some fun, while still burning calories and strengthening your muscles. |
